Welcome to pap Events, a platform that connects event space providers with individuals or organizations seeking event spaces. By listing an event space or making a booking request on pap Events, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read these carefully.
1. Definitions
- “Platform”: Refers to the website pap Events and any associated services provided by the platform.
- “Event Space Provider” or “Space Owner”: Refers to any individual or business that lists an event space on pap Events.
- “Booking Request”: Refers to a request submitted by a user seeking to book an event space.
- “Booking”: Refers to a confirmed agreement between the Event Space Provider and the User for renting the event space.
- “User”: Refers to any individual or organization making a booking request through pap Events.
2. Overview of Services
pap Events serves as an intermediary platform that allows Event Space Providers to list available event spaces and allows Users to request bookings for those spaces. pap Events does not handle the actual transaction or payment processing for bookings for now. Payments for bookings are processed offline directly between the Event Space Provider and the User.
3. Fees and Charges
3.1 Percentage-Based Fee
- Event Space Providers agree to pay pap Events an 8% fee of the total confirmed booking amount for each confirmed booking made through the platform.
- This fee is applicable even if the payment for the booking is processed offline directly between the Event Space Provider and the User. pap Events only charges for the lead once the booking is confirmed.
3.2 Fee Calculation
- The 8% fee is calculated based on the total agreed-upon price for the event space booking between the Event Space Provider and the User.
- For example, if an Event Space Provider lists a space with a booking price of GHS 5,000, and the 8% fee applies, pap Events will charge the Event Space Provider a GHS 250 fee for that booking.
3.3 Invoicing
- After confirmation of a booking, pap Events will issue an invoice to the Event Space Provider for the applicable booking fee.
- Event Space Providers must settle the invoice within 30 days from the date of issuance.
- Failure to pay the invoice may result in the suspension or removal of the Event Space Provider's listing from the platform.
3.4 Payment Methods
- Payment for the booking fee may be made via Mobile Money, Bank Transfer, or other available payment methods as specified by pap Events. The payment process will be communicated at the time the invoice is issued.
4. Booking and Confirmation Process
4.1 Making a Booking Request
- Users can submit a Booking Request through the platform for any available event space listed by Event Space Providers.
- Once a User submits a request, the Event Space Provider will receive a notification and has the option to confirm or deny the booking.
4.2 Offline Payment Handling
- The actual payment for the booking is handled offline by the Event Space Provider and the User. pap Events does not currently process any payments or handle financial transactions related to bookings.
- pap Events does not take responsibility for any disputes or issues that arise between the Event Space Provider and the User concerning the payment or terms of the booking.
4.3 Booking Confirmation
- Event Space Providers are required to confirm the booking by providing the agreed-upon price and confirming that the booking is finalized.
- Upon confirmation, pap Events will invoice the Event Space Provider for the 8% booking fee as outlined above.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- pap Events does not handle cancellations, refunds, or disputes between Event Space Providers and Users. These matters should be addressed directly between the Event Space Provider and the User, as per their agreement.
- pap Events is not liable for any losses or damages arising from cancellations or disputes regarding booking payments.
6. Rights and Responsibilities
6.1 Event Space Providers
- Event Space Providers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information listed about their event space on pap Events.
- Event Space Providers agree to respond to Booking Requests in a timely manner and notify pap Events of confirmed bookings in a reasonable time frame.
- Event Space Providers must adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and local ordinances related to the use of their event space.
6.2 Users
- Users are responsible for providing accurate information when making a Booking Request.
- Users must communicate directly with the Event Space Provider for any questions, concerns, or arrangements related to the booking and event details.
7. Termination and Suspension
- pap Events reserves the right to suspend or remove any Event Space Provider's listing if they fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions or fail to pay any outstanding fees.
- pap Events also reserves the right to terminate or suspend any User's account if they engage in activities that violate the platform’s terms or disrupt the platform's operations.
8. Liability
- pap Events is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from the use of event spaces or from disputes between Event Space Providers and Users.
- pap Events is not liable for any issues arising from payments, cancellations, or booking discrepancies.
9. Modifications to Terms
- pap Events reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Event Space Providers and Users will be notified of any significant changes to the terms. Continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions.
10. Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ghana, and any disputes arising from them will be handled in the appropriate courts of Ghana.
